I’ve been doing my part all year: I’ve missed out on coffee with friends, attending concerts and baseball games, traveling to “exotic” places like San Diego, Victoria, and Dublin.
Fuck, I haven’t had beer at my local bar since February!
But, sure, let’s open shit up.
Jesus fuckin’ Christ. I’ve cooked all but a handful of meals since March. The few I didn’t cook were drive throughs at Del Taco or Arby’s.
My favorite brunch spot in Tacoma closed permanently.
The only public space I’ve been in since March is a grocery store; and then as seldom as possible. All too aware the whole time of the risk.
I’ve seen reports (no citation rn, because I’m lazy) that if the nation just froze for two weeks we could stop this virus in its tracks.
But half the country refuses to acknowledge the seriousness—hell, even the _existence_ of the problem....
Just... Fuck.
